Privacy Policy
Your privacy and your pet's confidential data are paramount. DogCatCalc is built on a privacy-first, client-side computing architecture.
1. Client-Side Computational Architecture
All calculators on DogCatCalc (including coat genetics matrices, pediatric growth velocity models, BARF diet breakdowns, and medication dosage calculators) execute entirely within your web browser via client-side JavaScript. We do not transmit, log, store, or sell any pet health measurements, weights, mating dates, or pedigree genotypes entered into our interactive tools.
2. Web Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
To understand aggregate website traffic and optimize tool accessibility, DogCatCalc utilizes Google Analytics 4 (GA4, Measurement ID: G-4ZRZ2Y5BQY). GA4 collects aggregated, non-personally identifiable diagnostic information, such as:
- Browser type, device operating system, and screen resolution
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referrers
- General country or regional geography (with IP anonymization enabled by default)
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser preferences.
3. Cookies and Browser Storage
DogCatCalc does not use tracking cookies for commercial advertising or user profiling. Minimal session or local storage tokens may be used strictly to retain temporary UI states (such as active unit preferences between imperial lbs and metric kg) during your current browsing session.
4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
We respect the data privacy rights under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know & Access: We collect zero personal identity data; no profile exists to access.
- No Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell, rent, or monetize personal user data to any third party.
- Zero Tracking Across Sites: DogCatCalc does not track your behavior across unrelated third-party websites.
5. External Links
Our platform contains citations and links to external veterinary and academic institutions (e.g., FDA CVM, WSAVA, Cornell Feline Health Center, NCBI). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party domains.
6. Policy Changes & Inquiries
Any future updates to our privacy policy will be posted directly to this page. Questions regarding data protection may be directed via our About Us page.
